Welcome to, Madrugada Musings (you can call it Musings for short) a newsletter by me, Angela Richardson. I help people reveal their truth and live fulfilling and intimate lives.
Years ago during a summer I spent in Brazil, I learned a word in Portuguese that I fell in love with: Madrugada. There is no literal English translation for this word - it is a word to describe the time after night, just before daybreak. But Madrugada in literature means much more. It is a poetic description of the magical time where the deepness of dark and the emergence of light are intertwined in a sweet tryst, a slow departure embrace until their next meeting. It’s a time of simultaneous ending and new beginnings, an anticipation of the imminent emergence of the light. Neither preferable, they both simply are and they rely on each other for one cannot know itself without the other.
This newsletter is a Tryst. It will include typical things like happenings in my projects and also I’ll share in writings and musings of various forms about the paradox that is life. Day and night, body and spirit, god and sex, light and dark.
